Main Instructor and Branch Director of Kudo South East England
I studied Shotokan karate where I received my black belt in 1995 and Cho's Taekwondo where I also achieved black belt in 1996.
I took part in the Sri Lankan National Karate Championships in 1998 and the Asian Shotokan Karate Championships in India in 1998 where I won first place. Then in 2000 I took part in the World Championships in Cho's Taekwondo in Ireland and taught both Taekwondo and Shotokan in Sri Lanka up until 2000.
I came to England in 2000 and continued to teach Taekwondo until 2005 when I started to learn Kudo. Then in 2006 I opened my own Kudo school in Tunbridge Wells, followed by a second branch in Crawley. My students start from 5 years upwards and have taken part in National Championships, European Championships and World Championships with a great level of success.
One of my students was the first person from the UK to win the Junior World Champion in 2017 in India. My students and I also took part in the World Championships in Japan in 2018, where we were able to compete in front of Grand Master Azuma Takashi.
I received my Black Belt 1st Dan in Kudo 2006 under the Grand Master Azuma Takashi and my 2nd Dan in 2012 also under Azuma Takashi.
As well a teaching Kudo I teach MMA and have students that successfully compete in K1 Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA.
